MVA With Fire Ends the Night

5/11/08- At around 3:30 hours, the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Corp. were dispatched to a MVA around 109 Wild Acres Dr, Wild Acres. The communication center initially said they car was on fire, but a caller stated WAPS had extinguished the flames.  Units arrived on scene and and took care of all necessary problems. Units returned into service at around 3:30 hours.

MVA Keeps em' Coming

5/11/08- At around 1:30 hours, the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Corp. were dispatched to a MVA at the intersection of Silver Lake Rd, and Doolan Rd. Command on scene of the structure fire in Wild Acres decided to have Station 26 respond and cover for this call. 28 Fire Police along with 286 and 26 Rescue took care of this call. They returned into service around 3:30 hours.

Structure Fire to Start Off Busy Night

5/10/08- At 23:50 hrs, the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance Corp were dispatched to a Structure Fire on Keystone Dr in the area Autumn Rd in Wild Acres.  When 28-3 called in service to the communication center , the communication center gave an update stating that the fire was fully involved.  Upon his arrival on scene, he confirmed the structure was fully involved. When units arrived on scene, they made work to contain the fire until the water supply went dry. Command requested an Engine and Tanker from 26 to the scene. when they arrived the hot spots were extinguished and the overhaul began. Bushkill VFD set up a fill site in the area of Pool 1 in Wild Acres. All units operated on scene till about 2:45 hours when they returned in service.

Two Minor Injuries Caused by MVA

5/08/08- At 16:41 hours, the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance  Corp. were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accident on Silver lake Road between gates 1 and 2 of the Pocono Mountain Lake Forest Community. Several reports can in that the car in fact rolled over and back upright. 34-3 showed himself on-scene and confirmed negative entrapment with minor head injuries on each patients. Crews accessed their injuries and released them on scene. Fire crews cleaned up fluids and left the scene for the fire police until Wrenches Towing arrived. units returned in service at around 17:30 hours.

Two Flown to St. Luke's Medical Center

5/07/08- At 18:58 hours, the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company, Ambulance Corp, and Pike ALS was dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accident in Camp Speers, off of Route 739. Upon arrival of Engine 1, crews found out that one patent was ejected from the vehicle and one was entrapped. When Medic 40 arrived on scene, they requested both patients be flown. 28 Rescue handled LZ1 and Engine 1 LZ.

Fiery Crash Claims Person's Life

4/16/08- At 23:41 hours, the Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 2001 in the area on Webber Road and Long Meadow Chapel. The Communication notified all responding units that the car had burst into flames and all other information was unknown. Upon arrival of 28-1, he notified that in fact the car was on fire and seemed to have struck a tree. When units contained the fire, a member had noticed a lifeless body inside the remains of the vehicle. Upon later investigation of the PSP, they said the car went into the oncoming lane then off the road into a tree. PSP is still investigating the crash.
